HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread

Barring any revolutionising and game changing arguments the full structure is now complete.
The Reasoning draft post explaining what is happening and why is also complete.

The format and structure draft post will be sent to the moderation committee on June 26th 2026 along with the Reasoning post for their final approval.

The 12th July marks a fortnight before the start of the event. On this date a launch thread will appear explaining the format and structure in detail for the benefit of the whole forum. The launch thread will then be closed until the event proper begins in earnest on 26th July.

Separately in this, the discussion thread a full reasoning and rationale for the format and structure will appear. This will be your opportunity to post queries in the event of anything being unclear. I shall of course answer such queries.

You will all be free to comment and discuss the format as you wish.
However I hope you will all understand I will not be engaging in debating the format beyond this point.
I will be taking a break to recharge before the event begins. Once the event begins my time will be taken up with counting and calculation activity for which I will need to be fully focussed. Many weeks and months of hard work have gone into this already on my part due to a desire to do HOF justice.

Once the entire HOF event is over and inductees announced I will respond to opinions expressed as per the format and it's perceived strengths and weaknesses.
I will do so on the basis of a short period of reflection as to how the event has played out.

Let there be no doubt.
I have not taken this responsibility lightly.
The scale of the challenge was clear to me from the moment I was given the honour of running this esteemed event.
It is a challenge I have been utterly determined to rise to with all my heart and soul. Even at this point I do feel a certain level of nerves.
Who wouldn't after all this time?
That however is hopefully an indication of just how much I care and the extent of my desire to get it right.

Time will tell if I succeed or fail.
