RIP Anthony Head

Actor Anthony Head known for Buffy,Ted Lasso and Little Britain has died at the Age of 72 .

A really shocking one this one.

So sad 2nd Buffy star to die this year

First remembered him from the gold blend ads in the 80s

After his stint as Giles in Buffy he was linked with the role of Dr Who when Christopher Ecclestone left. I was rooting for Anthony to get it, but David Tennant got it. He did, however, get to play a Dr Who baddie beside Tennant. He had a convincing air of menace as creepy headmaster Mr Finch.

Same. Was web browsing and I saw an article about his death on The Mirror's website. I was so shocked.

Anthony Head managed to make a stuffy, tweed-wearing librarian one of the coolest, most beloved characters on television. His incredible range—moving from dry comic timing to profound, emotional heartbreak—gave Buffy so much of its weight and reality. A true class act who continues to be an absolute favorite.
