Class action lawsuit vs. Vixen Media Group

Interesting lawsuit filed about a month ago, claiming that the performers at Vixen porn studio should be classed as full time employees. This is based on the influence and control the studio imposes on the lives and work of its performers and because of the amount of time they are often asked to devote to promoting studio projects without any additional payment.

The lawsuit claims that by treating them as independent contractors, Vixen is denying its performers the benefits to which they'd be entitled as employees. If the case is successful it could have big consequences for the entire porn industry in California, as treating porn performers as contractors is common practice. A lot of people in the adult industry are watching this.
