The final episode of the genial show was directed by Joe Dante and saw Frank investigating the death of a comedian.I know they did the Naked Gun films later but it was such a shame this got cancelled.

Premiered on SyFy channel on Thursday evening but finally just got round to watching it.Set in a Dystopian future in America in 1999 (wtf?) where crime is at an all time high & resources like water & oil at a low & swaithes of the country look like baron wastelands.Fuel is scarce & is so expensive cars have been rebuilt to run on other resources (human blood) & car engines look like a giant meat grinder for bodies to be dumped in.
The lead character is Grace D'Argento (played by the stunning Christina Ochoa) a ballsy no-nonsense woman who is forced to partner up with Officer Arthur Bailey into participating the BloodDrive race across the country for large sums of money racing against a whole host of oddballs,freaks & weirdos.

I'll be honest I didn't expect much from this series beforehand but as first episodes go tbh I found it pretty good.Sure the storyline is as bonkers as a field full of randy rabbits but with fast cars,hot women (particularly Grace in her cut-off jeans & daisy dukes),& a load of freaks & weirdos particularly Head Race of Ceremonies Announcer Julian Spinks (played by Colin Cunningham)whats not to like??.
I'd say that the series looks like a combination of Death Race,Mad Max & several bonkers grindhouse horror films all roled into one.So far so good.

^just finished episode 9. it's really good. stick with it.
