Its becoming more apparent that the author of these threads more than likely received some copyright strikes warnings from the mods of this forum hence why all of the "on this day" threads have all died at the same time and we have been restricted from being able to message the author directly...

We aren't the hosts of the content, it is hosted externally, hosts die and remove content at the source, dead links are not because of us.
Also, the only members you can't message are those that have a full inbox, or don't want to be messaged. We don't restrict messaging other than when an account is banned.

I thought the threads might wither when the clock came round and people wouldn't want to see the same days a second time.

But it only started in August, so there's plenty of scope.

I'd expect the aggro needed to put the updates together would seem a barrier too, hence why others aren't falling over themselves to take on the mantle.

I'm sure you and all the other mods are considering closing all of the "on this day" threads after a certain amount of time without any posts of content...
