The MCC need to take a JCB to this old tired wicket. If it was at any other ground they would have done it by now.

In the first 2 days play a wicket has fallen on average every 25 balls. I would guarantee that if this had happened at Old Trafford or Headingley there would be a major outcry.

I will nor be surprised if comments from both of the captains prompt either the MCC acting or the ICC will investigate it, it is not a good look for Test Cricket if pitches don't last five days

^^ On conclusion of any Test Match the ICC Match Referee is responsible for evaluating the pitch, given the criteria used this pitch falls into the category of unsatisfactory, fails to allow an even contest e.g. heavily favours bowlers, resulting in an unusually quick match.

Only 9.4 overs were possible on day 3, but still time enough for Robinson to take the wickets of Ravindra & Mitchell. Sunday is a clear day with potentially better batting conditions, but the invariable bounce will still be a factor, New Zealand have a mountain to climb requiring a further 199 runs from their 5 remaining wickets.

Doubt you would even have a good case for a refund for today's play
