Injury reported as a sprain MCL with a 3-6 week expected return, possibly sooner. Could've been so much worse, an all too common occurrence when a QB is trying to buy some time & make something happen in the pocket with big linemen rolling up on their legs.

Despite the field conditions which were poor it was a close fought game. Surprised that the NFL didn't have a tighter control over the playing surface.
I felt that the Packers inability to get the ball into the Endzone cost them especially off the 2 turnovers in the 1st quarter. Saying that having a short field is not always beneficial Redzone efficiency in terms of Touchdown conversion rate is a key area of the game, many defences play soft in other areas of the field but tighten up in the Redzone.

It was just very disappointing for an early game in the season, it should be better quality and in my opinion they should have been prepared. The dangerous conditions reduced the enjoyment, it was like I was just waiting for someone to get a knee blown out.

I generally don't expect too much from Green Bay in away games and I accept the turnovers in the first quarter let them down. Put them up against it from the start.

All I can say though is that Brazil didn't produce a good advert for guest hosting the game.

OLD SCHOOL BEARS WIN!!!!

The Texans totally outclassed the Bears in the 1st half, 3 -17. I was thinking it's looking like the same old Bears, looking good in the presession and then not performing when the session starts.
But in the second half their performance changed. Scoring 21 points to take an easy victory.

I suppose that we are going to have a session of Rammy getting over exicted.

Oh yes indeed a new celebrity couple has now come on to the scene now involving Chicago as Jonathan Owens, who scored for Chicago yesterday on special teams, is married to Simone Biles, USA Olympian & Gymnast

Jets at Niners tonight. Perhaps not quite as foregone conclusion - Jets won all their preseason games didn't they?

Hard to bet against the Niners at home though. Tough call.

He might also want Ramsbottom being declared as a World Heritage site (If it isn't already!!) as well as capital of Chicago

Having read what happened in Brazil, The NFL will probably look more closely at where they host games outside the US in future. It certainly wouldn't have made good viewing at the stadium or on TV that's for sure, and and wonder if they & the teams will put in a complaint about the state of the surface, especially if Corinthians ground staff had plenty of time to produce a quality surface. Jordan Love probably was lucky it wasn't anything more serious. If he does end up missing half the season, I reckon GB will be hampered in some way.

As far as London goes will any games be held at Wembley or Tottenham Hotspur this year or could the NFL even conceive doing one in Cardifff or Glasgow in future to open up options? I think if there ever were British teams were set up for the NFL I can see calls made for the old London Monarchs and maybe the Scottish Claymores franchises being revived if it ever became feasible where it could work.

49ers 32 - 19 Jets
The score looked closer than it was in reality with a late Jets TD pass from Tyrod Taylor with Rodgers watching from the sidelines.
The Niners dominated in terms of time of possession & 1st downs, but struggled to get the ball into the endzone with just a Debo catch & a Mason rushing touchdown. 2nd year kicker Moody was 6/6 although one sneaked in of the upright.
They looked a little rusty especially Aiyuk after his contract holdout. What made the victory all the more impressive was it was achieved without CMC, with Jordan Mitchell rushing for 147 yards. He will have to take some load off CMC this season & all the more important with Elijah Mitchell out for the season.
The Jets have a really good defence yet the Niners underrated O-line controlled them throughout.
