Three unlikely heros.
Bethell (still with his terrible blonde mullet) and Jack's getting seven wickets between them, even if I view them as batsmen who can bowl a bit.
And Sam Curran, who I view as an all rounder who isn't an international bowler or batsman. But he managed to score a match winning 58.

^^ I think that Bethell will develop as a bowler if he's given the opportunities. I'm not sure what type of pitches we will get in the World Cup, this one spin quite a lot & part timers can often profit under these circumstances like Root has in the past, the bad balls become less of a problem. With Bethell & Jacks it seems less likely that Rehan Ahmed will feature much if at all.
Curran has improved as a batter, but although he has developed a slower, slower ball with mixed results, he is liable to go for runs, you can see why McCullum has been reluctant to pick him. The pace bowling is an issue, Jamie Overton has had mixed fortunes. Luke Wood seems a better option. Archer is the one class pace bowler we have.
The form of Duckett is a problem now, I'm not sure he's in the right head-space to perform. Providing Salt recovers from a back problem, I'd keep Buttler at the top as Banton has looked decent.
All in all I think we have a fair chance at this World Cup, although we've fielded better & more experienced sides. Any number of teams can win it, but the host must be favourites.

England lost by 100 runs in theUnder 19s Final against India after a remarkable 175 from 80 balls from Vaibhav Sooryavanshi which included 15 fours & 15 sixes. India had reached 250-1 after 25 overs, 500 was on the cards, but Sooryavanshi was dismissed in the next over. England enjoyed a good spell from overs 30-40 before India pushed on to 411-9.
England's reply started with 2 maidens before Dawkins, Mayes & Rew hit an array of classic boundaries When Dawkins was dismissed in the 21st over after a fine half century England were ahead of India at that point. But they proceeded to lose 4 wickets for 3 runs to put to rest any chance of an unlikely successful chase.
England show some pride with a classy century from Caleb Faulkner who found good support from Minto in a partnership of 92. Faulkner had made 115 from just 87 balls before he was the last wicket to fall in the 41st over. On any other day it was a knock worthy of victory.
Despite the loss England have some fine talent in both batting & bowling. The competition as a whole has showcased many future stars.
