If you ask me this smacks of an attempt to delay Brexit as it has been suggested today. The government is now running scared of suffering a heavy commons defeat on the deal Mrs May has offered.

She should bite the bullet and resign her deal will never get through parliament will not be accepted by the people of this country, and will never be accepted by the EU.

Her deal has been accepted by the EU. That’s why she is putting it to a vote in Parliament.
