RE: Wimbledon 2022
Another Wimbledon title for Djokovic. Number 21 in total of major wins, and god knows how many Wimbledon titles now among them. I wonder if Kyrgios could keep his mouth shut, would he be more able to stay in the moment, and make his undoubted talent count for more. He was at it today too, continually giving his box a serve, and his usual 'rant' at the umpire.
Need to mention also Shingo Kunieda's first wimbledon title (that is hard to believe to be fair), and his career grand slam. Really tough on Alfie Hewett (thankfully the authorities saw sense in allowing him to continue his career) as he had multiple chances to close it out, but couldn't quite find enough! He was actually gutted at the end!
Something right about the outcome though given the events of recent days, that the man from the 'rising sun' should cross the winning line. Real quality to the play on offer as well, a great watch.

RE: Wimbledon 2022
Seventh Wimbledon title for Djokovic, level with Sampras and one behind Federer's record. For Novak, Wimbledon probably represents his best chance, maybe his only chance, of more slams, especially as his current vaccination status prevents him from entering the Australian Open and probably also the US Open.
He's found it tough this year, with the controversy over Australia marking a bad start to 2022. I do still however admire his will to win, or refusal to lose, whichever way you look at it. In truth today I believe Kyrgios' madness helped him, but I admire the way that Djokovic wears down his opponents with relentless determination during the points. I'm a big fan of his. I hope the rivalry with Rafa and with Roger aswell, can continue in the coming months and slams. It's still a fascinating contest between the big three to see who will finish on top in the slam race.
On another note, farewell to the lovely Sue Barker. The broadcast / coverage of the tournament won't be the same without her. She broke down several times today with Billie Jean King, Tim Henman, Pat Cash and John McEnroe leading the tributes. Bless her.
