I read a story that Woods was going to be US Ryder Cup captain next time (though he's turned it down), though that might have been a belated April Fool.

Matt Fitzpatrick has won the RBC Heritage on the PGA Tour for a second time after beating Scottie Scheffler in a playoff.
This victory on the back of his win at The Valspar means he is having an excellent regular season.

^^ The quality shot he played int the green in the playoff remined me of the one from the fairway bunker that he pulled ff the win the US Open. It took some bottle to take on the bunker & just aim at the flag. It heaped the pressure onto Scheffler who followed it with a really bad swing. Matt must have been bitterly disappointed to finally lose the lead on the last regulation hole after battling all day to hold off the World No.1. Yorkshire grit.

He just can't stop winning.

They've gone back to Jim Furyk instead

Alex Fitzpatrick is the 3rd round leader at The Truist Championship at Quail Hollow after a 7 under round. With a maiden win on the DP World Tour at the Indian Hero Open this year it would be wonderful for him to get this one over the line. Last weeks win with brother Matt has secured his Tour card & he is eligible to play in some of the top events.
The combined form of the brothers must be unprecedented. I know that the Hojgaard twins recorded the double of back to back wins on the DP World Tour in 2021 to become the first brothers to win in consecutive weeks. The Hojgaard's have 9 combined professional titles.Matt has 14 pro titles including the 2022 US Open, Brother Alex has some catching up to do.
The Yorkshire lads must have some really proud parents at the moment.
