I am deadly serious I've hated Wimbledon ever since I used to be confined to bed with a cold nearly every time it was on,during the Summer, baking hot even with all the windows open up in the attic(my bedroom), no fan back then either, no video and wall-to-wall smegging tennis coverage all day/afternoon long aaaagggghhhh!!! Anything is better than a whole fortnight of this on BOTH channels! Only time I've been remotely interested is when Andy Murray looked like a real contender for the title-THEN I watched and marvelled, that and weeks later in 2012 the Olympics doubles when he won a Silver with partner Laura Robson.
I confess GMach this might be about the first time we don't have a meeting of minds! I don't watch the women's game, and refute that they are entitled to equal recognition through prize money! the men's game is, however, incredible at it's best, with the skill and fitness levels on show!
I must admit - and it is a personal view....I don't understand how some people take the view that they don't like a particular sport, but put a british name/face on the court/pitch, and suddenly the sport becomes palatable if not an engrossing watch. I don't get it!! Back to the issue of usual BBC scheduling, and that is where we all should be making a far louder presence felt/ and noise of frustration/anger!!

Just me mate, bad memories of the past with nothing else on television to watch. I'm not arguing with you mate, we just agree to disagree on this. Only watch if it is part of say the Olympics but tennis is a definite bore to me, like ordinary Golf(Ryder Cup, even the US Open is more exciting) but that's just me. Each to their own. AMEN!
