NFL 2024-2025 Season

The Chief's are often slow starters. But they've managed to get a result against a very good Bengals.

The good teams get better and often fast starters run out of steam.

I started supporting Chicago Bears in 1985!! They won the superbowl the 1st season I supported and apart from 2006 (where they made it to the superbowl) they haven't done anything of note

As for last night, was expecting the Bears to lose. So the main thing for me was to see an improvement on offense and the Bears were better on offense yesterday. Plus were very good defensively, limiting Texans to just 1 touchdown. The Texans kicker won them the game

Vikings 23 - 17 49ers
Statistically a close game with the outcome sealed when the Niners failed on a 4th down on the Vikings goal-line which resulted in a 97 yard Justin Jefferson TD.
With CMC on IR possibly out for 4 games, Mason had another 100 yard rushing game, however he doesn't pose the same catching threat. Debo & Kittle had great games, Bosa had 2 sacks & Warner did it all, a sack, an interception & forced a fumble.
Not a time to panic, the Vikings defence did a good job, the Niners were 2/10 on 3rd down. I'm hoping for a positive reaction in week 3 when they visit the winless Rams.

Chief's star RB Pacheo possibly out six weeeks after fracturing his fibula against Bengals - happened quite late in the game I believe. they already have their star WR out for the season after a preseason injury.

The Chiefs aren't a one man team, Mahomes threw for only 151 yards with 2 TD's & 2 INT's, had 4 carries for 29 yards.
Pacheco will be a big loss, but this team has a habit of finding a way.

I got confused having watched week 2 h/lights on Y/Tube, (I can't remember what game it was), but one player incurrred a penalty (think it was 5 yards) for "not reporting in" what did the referee mean?

Never heard this call before I think.

They really are the spurs of the NFL they will feel right at home a spurs stadium

think a lot of people will have become bears fans during 85 the fridge was huge ( Litteraly) and the Channel 4 coverage was great

You have to be eligable to catch or run with ball. It's when one of the big blocker blokes runs onto the field but they are going to use him in another role like running back or as a tight end. Both of who are allowed to be given the ball.

The linemen have different number ranges to running backs etc, so as he runs onto the field he makes the referee aware that he's eligable (he's a replacement).

He was about 20+ stone I think!! If you got a hard hit by him I reckon your game was pretty much done. I think they had one of the meanest defenses for a season in 85 I think.

Great finish to Phildelphia - Atlanta where the falcons won by a single point!

Add to that, a crushing defeat by Saints over the Cowboys, (4 TD's for Alvin Kamara), Week 2 I'd say has beeen pretty - eventful.
