TOTP begins its 1998 repeats tonight. There's some Tom Jones repeats from 9pm.

EDIT - oh now I think, if you missed Long Promised Road last year, it's on SA at 9pm and gives a reasonable picture of Brian Wilson in his late 70s.

^^^BBC4 did belatedly throw in a repeat of Brian Wilson at Glasto too.

Oasis fans not watching the IoW festival coverage might know BBC2 are getting the repeats out tonight, with just 2 weeks to the start of the shows.

BBC4 celebrating Blondie tonight from 9pm; SA prefer to celebrate Black Sabbath tonight from 10pm

And BBC2 looks at ELO tonight, whilst Sky opt to repeat some Blur instead.

Any thoughts on the Black Sabbath show guys? BBC2 also showed Live Aid at 40. Can't believe that was 40 years ago.

From what I saw of the sets from the Black Sabbath stream, It was great to see Slayer, Anthrax & Metallica deliver great sets, I think Metallica did mostly songs from the Cliff Burton era, especially 'Battery' (which had a mosh pit) I think when Ozzy performed he should be commended for how he got through that and you could tell how much he wanted to stand up, but even sitting down the voice sounded great. but It's going to be a hell of day when he finally passes way for sure. From what I gather there is apparently one more Ozzy album in the pipeline, but I think then that will be it for him, and to be honest Birmingham needs to create something where you could have a small square somewhere where they (Black Sabbath) can be immortalised in statues, one on each corner.

BBC2 giving revised repeats from Live Aid tonight (because nobody wants to see edited highlights of Live 8, and there's clearly no reason for a brand new big deal concert this year, is there?)

BBC1 showed some TRNSMT highlights last night, and will again tonight and presumably tomorrow too, which is a step up from just being on BBC Scotland.

There's a new 2-part doc on "Mr William Joel" starting tomorrow night on Sky Docs - both parts being 3 hours!

Also some Dexys Midnight Runners love on BBC2 tonight, whilst SA plump for Led Zeppelin.
