There was a very good one handed catch in today's IPL. The fielder held the ball and rolled over.

After checking they looked to see if he was still in charge of the catch for seconds after the catch was taken.

Years ago I've seen fielders take catches and immediately throw the ball up in the air, and not attempt to keep control of the ball as it was taken the catch was completed.

Has there been a change of the rule.
