Seems to have been higher profile shows of late, so nice to catch up with the more middling schmucks getting their occasional TV time for once.

Beeb seemed to switch away from the Robbo-Vafaei match after a quite boring first frame, in favour of the much better value Jackson Page-Chang Bingyu match-up which went the distance.

Oh, and Maguire went out in a decider Wink

Zhao Xintong eased to a 4-2 win over Stan Moody. Player to watch Jiang Jun whitewashed Yuan Sijun 4-0. Jak Jones beat McGill 4-2. Jack Lisowski won a decider against Xiao Guodong. Zhang Anda beat Pullen 4-2. Wu Yize beat Joe O'Connor 4-2.

David Gilbert lost to Bingham. Sam Craigie beat Gary Wilson.

Zhou Yuelong currently 3-1 up against Kyren Wilson, and 72 up with 67 on the table in frame 5, so unless Kyren can get 2 snookers, Yuelong looks like he's on the way to victory.

RE: Home Nations £1m tournament
Neil Robertson emerged out of a gripping tussle to beat Jak Jones in a topsy turvy final frame decider.
Wu Yize dispatched David Grace 4-0.
Barry Hawkins saw off Mark Williams in a high quality match to win 4-2.
Jiang Jun beat Robbie Williams 4-1.

This evening the last remaining Welshman has been knocked out as Jack Lisowski prevailed 4-2 over Jackson Page.

Robbo obviously rebounded from being too dull to watch the other day, to produce an absorbing back n forth contest, which even included two mammoth frames, and was still close almost to the end. If Jones can play that standard more often, he should see his ranking soar.

John Higgins rounded off a classy 4-2 victory over Zhang Anda with a magnificent 144 total clearance.
Brilliant stuff.

Meanwhile Stuart Bingham has stunned World Champion Zhou Xintong by inflicting a 4-2 defeat on him.

Zhou Yuelong comfortably beat Sam Craigie 4-1.

Zhao Xintong can finally go and celebrate Chinese New Year. Nice to see Chinamen Zhou Yuelong, Wu Yize and Jiang Jun still in it.

Quarter final lineup:

Neil Robertson v Hawkins
Jack Lisowski v Bingham
Zhou Yuelong v Higgins
Jiang Jun v Wu Yize

Props to David Grace making the last 16, probably his best showing for a while.

Looks like a draw of two halves.

Jack Lisowski kept his hopes of a second Home Nations Tournament win and the Bet Victor bonus alive by easing past Stuart Bingham 5-2.
Earlier Barry Hawkins emerged out of a very strange match against Neil Robertson to win 5-3. The potting and break building stats favoured the Aussie but The Hawk battled hard to win frames and got over the line with a closing 94.

Amusing finale with Bingham facing a marginal free ball which would likely have cost him the match. He challenged it, won, then potted a colour by mistake and left an even more cast iron free ball instead, from which he did lose the match. And I laughed hahahahahaahahahahaha etc
