Not just the highlight of the week but for me the highlight of the year: the return of Ashleigh Doll to our screens on Shebang tonight.

Although I am privy to many of the details I hope you will respect the fact that I cannot and will not say any more than Ashleigh has said publicly, but Ashleigh has been a very, very poorly young lady over the past year

She has undergone both surgery and radiotherapy and there were times when we had to wonder what the future might hold.

Thankfully, the news has been better in recent weeks and for the moment she is on the mend. For tonight at least, things are looking up for one of the loveliest people you could ever hope to meet.
