Its free to anyone who bought the game as a thank you for suffering all the issues with the pre-patched versions of the game.

I gotta say right now that Ubisoft is probably one of the worse companies, Assassin Creed Unity been given a hard time because the bugs in the game but people seem to forget that its the first Assassins Creed to have so many problems Assassins Creed 3 had loads of bugs as it was supposed to be using a new game and also the stand alone DLC for for Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag called Assasins Creed: Freedom Cry has loads of bugs as well and the game keeps crashing i've had this happen to me at least 7 times so i've had to redo the missions again and these problems and the issues with Assassins Creed 3 are well known on the internet.
This is the problem with Ubisoft want to put the game out every year instead of taking there time with there games. I would rather they release a Assassins Creed game very couple years and take there time with it rather then rush the game out every year and then its full of bugs and this coming from a big Assassins Creed fan like myself that played everyone one of them.
