RIP Marty Balin

Marty Balin, the co-founder and vocalist / guitarist of the 60s San Francisco based rock group Jefferson Airplane, has passed away at the age of 76.

He was vital to the success of the hit, White Rabbit, as the group became a pioneer act in the psychedelic, rebellious sound of folk / communal rock. He was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
