But these Coventry lads were the top band for me that year.....looking at Jerry Dammers on keyboards giving me flashbacks of my hairstyle that year

When I first saw this in 1978, my hormones went into overdrive

Can still remember my dear Mam - God bless her - getting up tutting and going into the kitchen while I sat in front of the telly transfixed with the thermostat in my head going haywire...I must have flushed hot enough to fry an egg at 30 paces...

(Well she was an ex Rabbit magazine bunny girl you know-but appearing in just a top was quite daring of her!)

She was a total bona fide teen idol at that time...every lad I knew in our year 'fancied the arse off her'

Who can forget the secret Lemonade drinker, although how he kept it secret what with having a fridge loaded with it I'll never know..

(Yes but what you have to remember is the rest of the crap I'd had before it-crisps, sweets, chocolate-a real binge we went on and then some of that really became the catalyst to one the worst experiences of mine and his life - and R Whites Lemonade was pretty flat by comparison and wasn't that nice-chap creeping about was Julian Chagrin and the woman was Harriet Philpin)
