A desperately sad and depressing day for American democracy.

The debasement of the office of President of The United States of America is complete on the part of Donald J Trump.
The final insult indeed.

No remorse, no evidence for election fraud, no respect for the institutions of legislature or those that serve them.
Incitement of insurrection and disorder bordering on treason.

The 45th President of the United States has brought shame on his nation by virtue of obsession with self interest over the interests of the American people at a time of Pandemic crisis.
People have died unnecessarily due to his ineffectual Covid response.
And now four people have died in the course of events of 6th January 2021.

Another indelible stain on an already discredited record of this most repugnant 45th President. Those people who perpetrated the disgusting scenes in the US Capitol should of course face the fullest sanction of the law.
But one man stands alone as the instigator of anarchy and potential civil war.
I say again what I said a number of weeks ago.
January 20th of 2021 cannot come around soon enough.

Some of the Republican lawmakers seem to have finally located their backbone. Too little, too late.

Facebook has banned Trump for 24hrs.
