Best match on the show by a wide margin i don't think these two ever had a bad match in wwe great storytelling, even the dq finish made sense.

Rowdy Roddy Piper vs Jerry The King Lawler:
Lawler comes out insulting the crowd and was quite funny doing so...
Piper comes out with the guy that did a very good impression of him on raw a couple of week earlier, the match itself was what you'd expect.

Overall this was an oddly shaped show the KOTR final should have closed the show imo
The commentary was soooo bad the guest they had was terrible all he did all night was asked how much everybody weighed

Not helped by the politics ,agree it's crazy not having kotw as the main event, not really backing one of there best up and coming stars,
Quite what they where thinking putting two wrestlers in the main event who's best years where 10 years earlier in mid south wrestling who knows, I had actually forgot they main evented a ppv,
One thing I think people forget what a good heel Lawler was as a wrestler after all his sillyness on commentry

I think they put them on last because they was doing some cancer charity thing at the time, i think the guy piper was with survived or had cancer and they wanted a photo op

this may be of interest to you Goat, i just seen a very interesting peace on line talking about how Hangman may become the new leader of the dark order in the next few weeks with the whole faction turning officially babe face,
seams because of the impact stuff the management dont think they need to move hangman into a match with Kenny so soon it may not happen until the autumn now,
thats a big interesting change if it happens what u think mate,

Yeah i guess so but to be honest this cross over isnt really help either company aew being associated with impact is bringing aew down not impact up i could understand if khan was buying impact but he isnt so i dont really get it

Vacant United States Championship Tournament Finals Eddie Guerrero Vs Chris Benoit:
A fantastic match to open any show by 2 of the very best ever, a lot of shenanigans and interference by Rhino but still very entertaining

Match of the night and one of the best matches of 2003! Everything was smooth and precise if you haven't seen it i highly recommend it

This was back when cena was sort of cool lol i enjoyed this match probably cena's best match to date. cena was a good heel here.

Only vince would book himself against a one legged man lol wasn't much of a match vince dominated for the most part until gowen made a late come back kicking a chair in vince's face and he bled all over the place, one missed filp later and we have a winner.

WWE Championship No DQ Match Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle vs The Big Show:
A really good main event, Kurt angle was on another level at this point and only just coming off neck surgery, brock was about to turn heel and big show was being presented as a monster.

Overall
A great show, I really liked 2003 the star power they had was insane and every ppv was either good or great, Go out of you're way to watch the tag title match.

Benoit is arguably the best wrestler in the world at that point, and Eddie is not far behind, best friends who loved working with each other gave us so many classics,

I had forgotten how good Hass & Bejamin where they really should have been bigger stars

Jericho was ring announcer and was very funny, just your normal battle royal nothing special it came down to juventud and ciclope after a stare down juvi eliminates himself ciclope then unmasks to reveal its really dean malenko

WCW Cruiserweight Title match Chris Jericho vs Dean Malenko:
A good short match these two had been feuding for months with malenko finally getting his revenge

Next we have The Bowery Death match DDP vs Raven:
This match gets shit on but i rather enjoyed it.. i was a big ddp fan at this point so even though it was just a hardcore match in a cage i thought it was cool

Decent match but was more of story development for the eddie/chavo storyline

I would have liked to see a match between them like 5 years earlier... this was just a basic match not bad or good but at this point bret had checked out and randy was almost 50

WCW Tag Team Title match Sting & The Giant vs The Outsiders:
This was a wierd match, Giant had just joined nwo black and white and was teaming with sting who both nwo factions wanted, during the match hall would turn on nash costing them the tag titles, sting would then join the wolfpack a week later and face giant in a 1 on 1 match for the tag titles a month later
The match its self was ok
