RIP John Madden

John Madden, Hall of fame NFL coach and the name behind the NFL games franchise has died aged 85

The Peter Aliss of NFL commentry, I remember his voice from when the NFL games were on Channel 4 years ago, and of course the John Madden video games

RIP John

He was head coach of the Oakland Raiders when they won the 1976 Superbowl.

But he's better known as a broadcaster with Pat Summerall and then Al Michaels. He retired from broadcasting in 2009.

^^ 10 years with a winning record as Oakland Raiders Head Coach & the 2nd best winning percentage in NFL history.

Been an NFL fan since 1985 when I was 8 years old, so this news that John Madden has passed away feels almost like a death in the family as I've grown up with him, watching the NFL on TV & playing the Madden video games on various consoles over the years

Wouldn't be the massive NFL fan that I am today without John Madden
