Platinum Party at the Palace

Can't have been that bad for me to sit through it, although Rod Stewart had me going for a unneeded toilet break lol. Queen need a new tribute act singer though, even Sam Ryder has more Freddie gusto than Lambert. I enjoyed the musicals section and Hans Zimmer scoring to the lightshow. The Diversity dance was creative.

But the absence of the big British pop acts was telling, I guess they weren't asked

Think they were trying to get the right mix kerravon between past and current do manage it quite well I did switch away at times tho I do agree with you it was lacking a bit of impact

^ you're right about the mix. Maybe I was being a bit picky with the last part, it was a party after all rather than a Live Aid concert. And surprisingly I did enjoy most of it.

Fabio Quartararo won, but the race will be remembered for Aleix Espargaro's mistake in thinking he had finished 2nd in the race. He then slowed down to acknowledge the fans etc, before realising he had one more lap to go! It was too late, and he finished 5th in the end. His mistake it is thought, rather than a pit board error. Poor guy was inconsolable!
