In his press conference Gary O'Neil said 8 Wolves players were unavailable, which isn't much more than the current Premier League average of 6.7 players out.

There are 7 clubs with more injured players than Wolves right now, including Newcastle who are missing 5 midfielders and Man Utd who are missing 6 defenders.

It isn't exclusively a numbers game, it's a case not just of how many players are lost to injury but which ones are lost at one time.
Anyway Arsenal should win comfortably.

Not only that, squad strength/depth is a key factor. Wolves can ill afford to miss those kind of numbers from their starting XI, whereas Man City, Arsenal & a few others have less drop-off in terms of class. You could make a very good case for a Man City 2nd XI comfortably beating the Wolves 1st XI.

Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is joining Newcastle in the summer.

Arsenal's moved for Raheem Stirling on loan from Chelsea. There isn't an obligation to buy.
Arsenal better have deep pockets as Stirling's wages are astronomical.
