RE: What TV show did you last watch?
Wednesday - Season 2 Episode 8 "This Means Woe"

An enjoyable end to season 2, This particular episode had all the main cast in it and I found it a good watch overall. The episode was directed by Tim Burton and it had all the magic, humour and great story telling you'd expect from him. It also set's up season 2 nicely for season 3.

I did see a newspaper article with the heading "Was Wednesday season 2 as good as season 1?" and for the most part I'd say yes, it had all the magic and gothic humour from the previous season and in particular it was great to see the cast such as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Joanna Lumley come alive in this season. Very enjoyable, the cast were just as good as before, the set pieces were big and the story telling was good, I'm looking forward to season 3 when it arrives.

2/3 To Biarritz, after a sea fishing trip (they did not throw the fish back), then to Laas for obscure festival events like tractor driving and corn spitting. After meeting a sheepdog in a REALLY steep field, they went up in the Pyrenees where there was a snow storm.

3/3 To the Camargue to ride horses, to Arles to paint each other's portraits, to some random village to play petanque, and finally back to Neil's place for a final friendly meal.

Quite a fun series, even if Neil seemed to blot Boon out of his reminiscences (when he spent 6 bloody series on it).

Last in this latest mini-series; back in September, if we're all spared.

Well, we were (for now). Give him his due, he did cover the Cambodia/Thailand problems, plus Ethiopia's new dam, 2 stories little covered elsewhere on the Beeb.

Kafka Uncovered
Dr James Hawes goes myth-busting in Prague, to show the famous writer wasn't a loveless failure at all. Nor did he anticipate the Holocaust.

Boty - I Am The Sixties
Profile of pop-artist Pauline Boty, who sadly died in her late 20s, and thus didn't get the career hype that someone like Peter Blake did. But she did get Jim Moir and Jenny Eclair bigging her up here.

Late Night w/Seth Meyers
James Corden is a busy bee, and Ashlee Simpson is busy with a residency. Whilst Chance the Rapper, Seth Reiss and Governor Andy Beshear are mainly likeable and chatty.
