Six Nations

Today's Wales v England match was a bit one sided. And quite a few of the England pack will have put themselves on the plane for the summers Lion's tour.

France v Scotland should be a lot closer.

Ireland saw out a tense 22-17 win in Rome by fending off Italy. France lead Scotland 16-13 at half time in a pressure cooker of a game.
The Scots had a try chalked off just before the break that would have given them the lead.

Edit: France running away with it now.
That should be that.

Things should have been different if it wasn't for a diabolical refereeing decision when Peato Mauvaka threw himself head-first at Scotland's Ben White. He was given a yellow card rather than a red. It's wasn't a high tackle just GBH.
It was far worse that when one of the Curry's got sent of for a high tackle a few years ago.

Last years winners of the Six Nation's, France had a convincing win against Ireland. 36-14.

I've never seen such a poor Ireland team over the last few years. I believe that they have a lot of injuries.

How much longer can Townsend last as Scotland's coach after that defeat?

A battle in the rain of Rome saw Italy hold on to beat Scotland 18-15.

Meanwhile England ruthlessly dispatched Wales 48-7 with a clinical performance at Twickenham. Henry Arundell with a hat-trick of tries on the wing.

So what have we learnt from the opening week.

Ireland and Scotland have both declined, France are going to be difficult to defeat. And Italy always proves hard to beat in Rome.

I'm unsure about England, they have a lot of strong fast men but is there the class. They mauled a poor ill disciplined Welsh team and Henry Arundell will never score such an easy hat trick. So lets hope that this was just a one off performance from Wales, I still can't get over their captain's tap and go penalty, when he failed to tap the ball.

Scotland were awful and had no plans for when the rain came down
Wales have lost all confidence and no real surprise given the situation the regions arguing atm in what one is going
