Channel 4 last night called it a failed coup, surely he's going to be getting that put to him in constant media rounds along with "how could a first minister Sarwar work with Number 10 when they are so at odds ?" Instead of removing No. 10 from the debate he's made it front and centre ?

Fuck knows. But yeah, opinion this morning does seem to be that he thought he had assurances behind the scenes that others would follow.
