Where does 'the Special Relationship' Stand

Is it in a far more weaker position than ever or has it almost disappeared altogether more recently?

I would say the relationship is probably more precarious now than it was when the Iraq War started but I often feel that Trump has done some serious damage but I think there was a lot of damage done with Bush & Blair.

What would it take to restore it? I would think it would take a lot of work on the American side if they change to a President who actually respects the relationship and is keen to improve it when both the US and UK are working together, but I wonder if Trump's recent attitude has put the relationship on thin ice.

What do you guys think?
