I was massively into planes as a teenager and my favourite plane was (and still is) the A-10 Thunderbolt II which is nicknamed Warthog basically because it's ugly and can take a lot of damage whilst dishing out a lot of damage, mainly with it's massive Avenger gatling gun/cannon. It's an amazing aircraft

I also have been to Lakenheath to see the F-15E Strike Eagle, one of which was shot down. It's 4 us aircraft hit apparently. As well as the F-15E & the A-10, the 2 helicopters sent to rescue the F-15E crew were both hit.

Sky News is saying The A-10 pilot is safe along with one of the F-15E crew.

I have to say it has to be seen as something of victory for Iran for even shooting one down - and when you think about it, their military capabilities are supposed to have been 'obliterated' by Trump - oh wait a minute..

though I remember a top Trumps game on Warplanes, Found the Thunderbolt one too I seem to remember that the Blackbird was the best card in it

yeah the fact that so many are getting shot down would be a worry esp as there was apparently deliverys from Russia and China weeks before what happened is this some sort of new tech weaponry the russians and chinese have given them

i mean to take an A10 warthog down would take some doing its basically a flying tank with a gatling gun the size of a VW beetle in the nose

could it outwit a heat seeker missile if one was fired?
