Real Time w/Bill Maher
It says something that his only attempt at intelligent discussion was his closing "aliens are probably real" bit.

3/6 Da Lat
An adventure park with zipline and waterfall, then to an artichoke farm, a typical waxworks, a Buddhist monastery, dressing up at an imperial palace, a tea plantation, and finally another musical finale with wacky instruments.
BB's V
4/6 Hanoi
The series supposedly marks 50 years since the end of the war, and Bill meets an American vet to talk reconciliation, then a Viet vet who'd collected thousands of artefacts. Bill later burns effigies in memory for his late mother, and also Sean Lock.

Hitchcock at the N.F.T.
A bit longer than some of these chats, and fellow director Bryan Forbes makes for a good presenter/interviewer, at one point jibbing Big Alf for disdaining the idea of using films to impart social messages (something Sly Bry was well up for doing).

5/6 Sa Pa
Way up north, out of Top Gear's reach, it's hill tribes and herbal remedies, plus larks with ice cream up Mount Fansipan. Later Bill treks to Sa Seng village to learn the way of khen playing.

3/3 Some barefoot trekking, a long footbridge across Lake Zurich, and finally to Einsielden Abbey.
A bit less incident than some series, but probably the better for it. I'd like the next series to come from the southern hemisphere somewhere.
Pilgrimage - The Road to Holy Island
1/3 Oh well, no such luck. A somewhat bland bunch trek from Whitby to Durham. Jayne Middlemiss and Hermione Norris are old pals, so maybe next time they should just send them and save 5 wage packets.
