Talking Movies - Tom Brook's 50 Years with the BBC
A special in which, guess what? Footage of him as a trainee in 1976 shows he was wise to drop the beard. Though he's done occasional news bits (eg the murder of John Lennon), films have been his metier. Talking Movies has been going longer (or almost as long) as the Film etc series on which most of us probably first saw him. Touchingly, he refers to his lisp and his being gay, as facets he felt might be used against him, but he has endured long enough that anyone who does recognise him does respect him. Quite a fond tribute.

1.9 Down to Des Moines to try "asian fusion" pizzas, a 9in pork tenderloin sandwich, and a challenge with mega-mega spicy pulled pork sandwich which is as much about endurance as pain, and which he completes successfully.
MvF
1.10 Back north to Billings (Montana) for a world-class-award-winning burger, a novel sandwich which looked like a hollowed-out milk roll, and a final challenge involving a 78lbs steak w/ 2lbs of sides. He starts well, has plenty of time, but falls short.

TFI Friday
Archive with Robbie Williams overshadowed by live chats with Lenny Henry, Peter Capaldi and even Paul "Big Show" Wight!

The Footage Detectives
The highlight was a reel about Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, with behind the scenes filming, and publicity tours and the former Queen & co attending the premiere.

British Art at War
1/3 Paul Nash: The Ghosts of War
Andrew Graham-Dixon, back in 2014, tells the tale of a guy who fell in his WW1 trench, crushed his ribs and thus missed getting killed at Passchendaele. But he flirted with surrealism and got bad asthma instead, plus painted some masterpieces in WW1 and WW2.

Late Night w/Seth Meyers
A fun mix, from Rose Byrne and Matthew Rhys, to Karl Urban and Juliette Lewis, plus Lena Dunham pushing her memoir and bearing some resemblance to Rebekah Elmaloglou.

2.1 At least these seem to be finite. Casey is in Boston, bejayzus. He tries the "Pilgrim" burger (turkey, cranberry, stuffing, etc), then some Prime Rib. His challenge is 4.5 lbs of Irish breakfast with 14 ingredients, washed down with Guinness. He doesn't manage it, but probably feels no pain afterwards.
