Really looking forward to this year's tournament starting on Thursday.
Aronimink plays host and judging by the course images and profiles it looks a seriously impressive golf course in it's 2026 form.

Aronimink is proving to be a proper golfing test. Requires accuracy off the tee. Miss fairways and you are in trouble. As it should be. Then the approach on to the green needs to be on point as well. The greens are big but with undulations a plenty. Hit the wrong part of the green and you face a devil of a job avoiding three putt or worse. I really like it.

Who would've guessed that 2 German players would be among the 6 tied for the lead after round 1.

Nobody running away with things after round two. Everyone forced to give the course and pin placements the respect deserved. I'm absolutely loving the Aronimink test of 2026.

Justin Rose has soared up the leaderboard after a -5 round of 65 leaving him at -2 overall.

Interesting comments from Rory regarding the course set-up & particularly the pin placements leading to a bunched field. I can understand his frustrations, great players don't generally like playing away from flags, but some have been totally inaccessible which results in the field cancelling each other out. Given all that Rory is just frustrated with his poor start & leaving himself a lot to do.
Round 3 is often described as moving day & we will have to wait & see if 2 or 3 players can move out in front & create some space from the pack. There's somewhere in the range of 30 players in with a chance, a handful of big names but still a good chance there's a debut major win for someone.
