I know that it's in hindsight but why did they pick Bashir. A spin bowler who hasn't balled a ball.
They could have picked another batsman, pace bowler or all rounder. Bad selection.

Although the match finish just before lunch on day 4, with all the rain delays & slow over rate not helped by the fact that not a single over of spin has been bowled, all we got was 166 overs, add on 6 overs for change of innings & it is still 8 overs short of 2 days play..

While it is nice to get a win after the disappointment in Australia, I suspect now it is a nervous wait to see if there is any ICC investigation & possible penalty for that pitch

so if the Saracens captain apparently threw the first punch at Stokes, do we actually know if Stokes retaliated? and also apparently they were downing £25 a pop vodka shots. But even so there was a curfew in place and Stoke should have set an example in that respect, yes, but at the same time there might be some who think the team should have been allowed to celebrate a win somehow.

Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson dropped for second test. Had to be. Yorkshire Captain Joe Root will be Interim England Test Squad Captain. Such a safe pair of hands. Stokes and Atkinson really fucked up especially Stokes as Captain.
