Real Time w/Bill Maher
Neil deGrasse Tyson has a new book out, which Bill loves. His chat with Katy Tur and Kevin McCarthy was less pally, but his closing piece on the anaemic state of the Democrats was calmer than often.

2.11 Back up to Boise for the Over the Edge burger (with brewery-added items), then an ice cream treat designed to look like a baked potato, before a challenge that involved super-spicy soup followed by super-spicy sushi, a 10 minute time limit, 98% failure rate, but he knocks it off in under 6.
MvF
2.12 Along in Grand Rapids, a stacked beef sandwich with bacon & onions, then a wet burrito with ground beef, refried beans and a super-secret spicy sauce, before a final challenge with 3 "foot-long" hot dogs plus fries and a stack of onion rings, 25 minutes and a 95% failure tally, which he narrowly joins.

The last in this run has nice archive chats with Kylie, Dolly, Noel and the 3 survivors from Take That. I'd expect more shows in the autumn, maybe before?
TFI: Unplugged
Well, fish my wish, then. More modern interviews (and bands) rather than archive, which was more interesting.

The Bottom Line
Steve Clemons talks to Negar Mortazavi in studio & Colin Clarke (not ex-Southampton) in Pittsburgh about the chances of a US peace deal in Iran. Later Steve talks to Imad Harb in Lebanon about the chances of a US peace deal for Lebanon. Not too hopeful in either case.

The Road to Hope
Fergal Keane seems to be knocking his BBC career on the head, so here he gets a half-hour to reflect on some of the positive stories which tempered the overall tenor of the last 40 years. This meant he talked Ireland, South Africa (he interviewed Nelson Mandela), Rwanda, and finally Gaza.

Late Night w/Seth Meyers
Back after his break, he had a first-time chat with Pink, palled up with authoress Ann Patchett, and talked soccer with Brett Goldstein (Brett supports Spurs; Seth somehow supports West Ham).

2.13 Down to the Ozarks (well, Arkansas and Missouri), to try the volcano burger (beef in a large circle of cheese), large pancakes made with french toast batter, and finally a challenge which was an oversized choc cupcake, with 30 minutes and 75% failure rate, but he manages it in the time.

The Listening Post
Antoinette Torres Soler has devised an ethical AI, to try and offer an expanded vision alternative. Also talk on the dude who reported on Trump's so-called spat with Netanyahu, who always reports these sorts of stories, because he used to work in Israeli misinformation.

The Sky at Night: Space Weather - The Perfect Storm
Prof Chris and Dr Maggie visit the Royal Society and the Met Office to mark this year being the bicentenary of Richard Carrington, who first recorded a solar flare, and the risks of a repeat occurrence given our computerised society etc.
