The Sinfield knighthood is fair enough.
He has made genuine sacrifice and effort to improve the lives of others over himself.
However the overwhelming majority of those in the public eye that have been honoured are utterly undeserving imo on the basis they have merely been deemed to do their day job to a high standard which to my mind is not sufficient qualification for such recognition.

^^ This reminds me of someone who myself & my family knew well who worked at the same company, doing a regular job, nothing out of the ordinary, & received an honour, to their credit they politely decline it on the basis that you described, just doing a competent job.

Our Former Chief Exec was given an OBE for "Services to Housing" or some such nonsense. The standing joke around the Office was that it stood for Other Bugger's Efforts.

An absolutely horrific story of a baby who was taken from scummy parents and handed to a pair of vile abusers. The usual "lessons will be learned" bullshit is being spouted already.

There is no smoking gun but looks like purposefully or not Yaxley-Lennon is acting as a Russian asset, sharing groups that are Russian backed & being retweeted by the head of Russia's sovereign wealth fund.
