Just been announced that Stephen Lewis who played Blakey on on the buses has died aged 88

Must admit loved "on the buses" still watch it on itv3

He then went on to play Smiler in The Last of the Summer Wine.

He was a well remembered and well loved comedy actor

Blakey was so brilliantly acted _ I'm sure many of us could identify a bus conductor who was exactly like him back then !!

Blakey wasn't the bus conductor. That was Jack (Bob Grant).
